Subject Formatting of Headers and Footers (Duplex Mode)
Date Fri, 05 Jan 2001 11:04:28 GMT

I'm trying to get FOP to produce different headers and footers for even and
odd pages.
I had to tweak the DocBook stylesheet (used to transform my XML documents)
to produce what I believe is an accurate fo.

<fo:page-sequence-master master-name="pages">
<fo:conditional-page-master-reference odd-or-even="odd"
<fo:conditional-page-master-reference odd-or-even="even"
<fo:simple-page-master master-name="right" page-height="297mm"
page-width="210mm" margin-top="15mm" margin-bottom="63mm"
margin-left="29.5mm" margin-right="19.5mm">
<fo:region-body margin-bottom="20mm"/>
<fo:region-after extent="10mm"/>
<fo:simple-page-master master-name="left" page-height="297mm"
page-width="210mm" margin-top="15mm" margin-bottom="63mm"
margin-left="19.5mm" margin-right="29.5mm">
<fo:region-body margin-bottom="20mm"/>
<fo:region-after extent="10mm"/>
<fo:page-sequence master-name="pages" id="SB-6168">
<fo:static-content flow-name="xsl-region-after">
<fo:block text-align-last="outside" font-size="10pt"
border-top-width="0.75pt" border-top-style="solid">

The only drawback is that FOP does not recognize the
text-align-last="outside" property value. Two questions :
* am I right in assuming that this should work ?
* is implementation of the outside value for this property planned ?
