I've been building fine with Xalan 1.2.0 for a while. There were some
initial problems when Xalan 1.2.1 came out with our build tools, but I fixed
those right away and tested with both 1.2.0 and 1.2.1. I'm glad you got it
to work, but I'm still unsure what the specific cause of the problem was. I
never thought that build speedup patch I made would cause so much trouble
:-(

Found the answer :

You need Xalan 1.2.1 , and not Xalan 1.2 as in the fop docs !
