Subject RE: Repeating table headers

I am not sure if I understand the solution you are suggesting.

Are you suggesting that I set the repeated table header as part of the page
header content?

I don't think I understand your reference to 'static content with a
different table'. Would this go in the page header?

I am unable to predict how many pages a given table will take up, since the
table cells include user entered wrapped text. In addition, tables do not
begin at the beginning of a page, and each table has a different header
structure, with possibly one table ending on one page and another table
beginning on the same page. Therefore, though each table will in fact be
absolutely dimensioned, I know of no way to calculate which table header to
set in the page header to act as the "repeating header" for that particular
table.

Sorry if this completely misses the mark on what you are suggesting.

Sure, tables are absolutely dimensioned, so just use static content with a
different table for the headers. Works for me.

Subject: Repeating table headers

Does anyone know of a current work around for repeating table headers, using
the current release?

I have a document that has a repeating header and footer. It also has a
series of tables that vary in length per document. Tables can flow across
multiple pages, and I would like the header to repeat if the table crosses
the page boundary.

I am using fop_0_14_0, and I have not been able to figure out how to work
around fo:table-header not being implemented. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
