Subject [jira] Commented: (JS2-269) External Links are displayed relative to /jetspeed

Ate Douma commented on JS2-269:

This *was* a problem we discovered when we were preparing the release of M3.
It then has been fixed quickly (at least I think so) and this fix *is* included in the official
M3 release.
But, for a short time, a preliminary version of the M3 release has been available publicly
before we could replace it with the official version.

So, I'd like to know if you maybe have downloaded this preliminary version before the M3 release
was announced.
Or, you may have downloaded from a mirror which wasn't updated in time and still contained
this preliminary version.

You can check this out by comparing the timestamps of the files *within* your downloaded distribution
(or source if you did build your own M3).
The official M3 files are all dated 2005-05-26.

If you did have the preliminary version, please close this issue again as Invalid.

But, if you *do* have this problem with the official M3 files, then please specify exactly
on which page which external link is displayed relative to /jetspeed and then I will look
into this.

> The decorator for tigris displays "Additional Links" by calling JetspeedPowerTools.getAbsoluteUrl(...).
This method call creates URLs assuming the argument is a relative URLs. Resolution: a) don't
call getAbsoluteUrl(...) but print the links without modifying them. b) Modify getAbsoluteUrl(...)
to check and do not modify any URLs that are already absolute.
> Question: what is the purpose of getAbsoluteUrl(...) at all?
