Subject [jira] [Commented] (LUCENENET-606) Up .Net Framework from 4.5 to 4.5.1 to support Dependency Requirements?
Date Mon, 04 Feb 2019 21:46:01 GMT

Chris Moschini commented on LUCENENET-606:

OK, I upgraded my branch to .Net Framework 4.6 and have it building, so I could proceed. Happy
to submit for review.

I actually don't know the process here, whether I push to my branch on Github or make a Patch
and submit it here or what but happy to do whatever's needed, just let me know.

> Microsoft is gradually retiring support for .Net Framework 4.5, with foundational Nuget
Packages supporting a minimum of 4.5.1. Advancing to this version shouldn't introduce any
breaking changes for users of Lucene.Net, but it would allow Projects using Microsoft's foundational
packages (like the below) stay up to date.
> Here's the error Lucene.Net presents with when trying to update today:
> Error NU1202 Package Microsoft.Extensions.DependencyModel 2.1.0 is not compatible with
net45 (.NETFramework,Version=v4.5). Package Microsoft.Extensions.DependencyModel 2.1.0 supports:
> - net451 (.NETFramework,Version=v4.5.1)
> - netstandard1.3 (.NETStandard,Version=v1.3)
> - netstandard1.6 (.NETStandard,Version=v1.6) Lucene.Net
