Agreed, building Lucene.NET from the source in SVN is simple.
However my understanding is that being able to compile a tagged version of the source does
not meet the ASF criteria for a release.

You'll have to get the sources from SVN and compile yourself. I agree it would be nice to
have a binary release of 2.9.2 but building it yourself is pretty easy.
