Subject [jira] [Created] (JUNEAU-164) Stacktrace hashing should take proxies and lamba expressions into account.
Date Thu, 07 Nov 2019 13:38:00 GMT
James Bognar created JUNEAU-164:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Stacktrace hashing should take proxies and lamba expressions into account.
                 Key: JUNEAU-164
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JUNEAU-164
             Project: Juneau
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Code
    Affects Versions: 8.1.1
            Reporter: James Bognar

The current stacktrace hashing doesn't take differing stacktraces due to lambda and proxy
interfaces.

Below are examples of stacktrace elements that are likely to often differ:

at <package>.<class>.lambda$0(Class.java:123)
at <package>.<class>$$Lambda$1321/123456789.doWork(Class.java:123)
at com.sun.proxy.$Proxy123.doWork(Class.java:123)

A simple regular expression mask might work:

s/(\$Lambda\$[^\.]*])|(\$Proxy\d+)/MASK/g).
