------- Additional Comments From peterreilly@apache.org  2004-12-03 18:46 -------
I can see that this may be a nice thing to have. But I do not
think that it is possible to do this due to backward compitible issues.
For example, the mapper element does not have to be used to process
filenames, it could also be used to process url's. Also, even on
windows, it is (or was) possible to set the file system to be
case sensitive.

It will be possible to add the attributes quickly and perhaps later
we can have a short-cut syntax to do the same think with less keystrokes.
(Unfortuanlly neither macrodef or presetdef work too good in this case).
It think the name of the attribute will be "ignoredirchar", but am open
to a better name.

One could do this:

<presetdef name="glob">
   <globmapper ignorecase="yes" ignoredirchar="yes"/>
</presetdef>

<uptodate srcfile="c:/windows/system32/msvcr71d.dll">
  <mapper>
    <glob from="c:/windows/system32/*" to="debug/*"/>
  </mapper>
</uptodate>
