As far as I can understand the original bug description, it cannot be 
performed without parsing the class to decide whether or not it is a duplicate 
and remove it from the list (yes, the class could possibly not be in a package 
and the other one could be).

Therefore I'm setting this bug as WONTFIX and think Alberto advices are good, 
otherwise in one point or another it's a hack.
