Subject Re: Http basic auth
Date Mon, 25 Jun 2012 09:23:42 GMT
Hi,
After creating a sample process taking into account the procedure
described in the document
http://ode.apache.org/http-authentication.html, this is my findings.

1) No http header "Authorization:" is added to the outgoing message to a
service which is expecting HTTP Basic authentication.

2) The call to AuthenticationHelper inside SoapExternalService is
supposed to remove the "authenticate" message part from outgoing soap
message, after adding the http authorization protocol header. But it is
not so, as the outgoing soap message still has the authenticate message
in the soap envelope. This may be due to the fact that the soap envelope
is already created even before the call to AuthenticationHelper and any
changes done by method "setHttpAuthentication" doesn't reflect in the
soap message.

SoapExternalService.invoke(...)
{
              Message context is already created.

              // provide HTTP credentials if any
             AuthenticationHelper.setHttpAuthentication(odeMex,
operationOptions);
}

Jira that implemented this feature is:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ODE-354

regards,
sathwik
