FWIW, financial support for people to work on ASF projects is fine but it has to happen entirely
outside of the ASF.

[https://community.apache.org/committers/funding-disclaimer.html] was used in the past for
someone who started a crowdfunding action to work on an ASF project, I think it exposes how
that can work.

If you need more information about how that can work, best is to ask on the dev@community.a.o
mailing list.
