Hi Jens,

I am having an issue with trying to restore from the command line on the new CLI tool (that
is built in .NET Core), and I can't seem to find a workaround for it. Microsoft is adamant
that they won't provide help for {{project.json}} or the preview tooling that we are using
- they recommend moving to the new {{.csproj}} format without providing any solutions.

It occurred to me that you might be having the same issue, since you mentioned the server
application is also targeting .NET Core.

Options seem few:

1. Commit the {{project.lock.json}} files into the repository that are generated from Visual
Studio 2015 and skip the restore command during build.
2. Upgrade to the new {{.csproj}} format/VS 2017 and find workarounds for the issues that
still remain in doing so.

I noticed you made some recent commits that include some workarounds using the old {{package.config}}
files. I am curious, is that solution working?

If not, I think we should try to get Replicator merged sooner rather than later. It may be
high time to ditch the {{project.json}} format and move to {{.csproj}}. I am pretty sure we
can work around every hurdle to get us there (with 1 cheesy hack), since I have been experimenting
on a smaller project. We should also be able to move to a single {{.sln}} file.

I don't mind if you haven't finished getting it compiling on .NET Core - that should be straightforward
to do once merged. The main thing was getting all of the tests to pass, and you mentioned
you did that already :). I just don't want to start on this {{.csproj}} conversion before
Replicator is in the mix, because it will be more difficult to merge it afterward.
