    Alternatively, you instead of having to run all those commands on Mac OSX, you can create
that package on a Windows machine by adding the [OSX runtime ID (rid)](http.s://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/articles/core/rid-catalog)
in your `"runtimes": {}` section for your project.json for your project.  Then, you can do
a `dotnet publish --runtime {rid}` to publish all of the bits for Mac OSX and copy the created
bits to your Mac OSX.
    
    You can choose between a Framework Dependent Deployment or Self-contained Deployment.
The first requires the .NET Core SDK to be installed and the latter does not. Further reading
