"protected internal" means "those that inherit from me, and those within my assembly". You
should be able to inherit from QueryParser to extend it without recompiling any Lucene assemblies.

MultiFieldQueryParser.GetRangeQuery is already protected internal, and not sealed as your
report suggests.

Are you sure you're using the 3.0.3 branch? Your method names suggest something before the
