I too am interested in seeing if I can assist in this project, but agree that a plan of action
is desperately needed - as yet there doesn't appear to be anything on the main project page
(http://lucene.apache.org/lucene.net/) and I personally find it very difficult to find anything
in the newsgroups (sorry if it's a swearword, but things like Stack Overflow have raised the
bar quite a bit).
