Perhaps my explanation was misleading. The situation is as follows
(well more or less):


LoggerA --> AsyncAppenderA --+
                              +-->  SomeXMLSocketAppender
LoggerB --> AsyncAppenderB --+

I can't provide a configuration as log4cxx is behind a facade and 
completely configured via c++ code.
