First off, you really should move to 0.10.0 version. 0.9.7 is not
supported any more.

But unfortunately even 0.10.0 has problems with the threads it spawns
off for doing reconnection. The latest in SVN has fixed some of these
problems, but not all. See my thread on this "A Few Problems to
Report". Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
