Subject [jira] Commented: (IVY-517) The deprecated "keep" attribute on post resolve tasks causes an error
Date Thu, 31 May 2007 06:52:15 GMT

Xavier Hanin commented on IVY-517:

Indeed, it seems the keep attribute was available only on the resolve task, not post resolve
tasks. So it seems we now have introduced a deprecated element which has never been there...
After verification it seems that it isn't even in the documentation! So I think we have a
new feature immediately deprecated :-)

Hence I don't know if we should 'keep' it. Sorry for your work, Maarten, but what do you think?

> Environment: Ant 1.7 and Windows XP

> Fix For: 2.0.0-alpha-2
> Steps to Reproduce:
> 1. Create an ant build file to build a product/library which will utilize ivy
> 2. Create an ant target which uses a post resolve task, such as "ivy:cachepath". Add
to the task the attribute "keep" with any value, such as "true"
> 3. Run the build
> Expected results:
> 1. The build runs with no errors and adheres to the value of the "keep" attribute as
described in Ivy 1.4.1 documentation
> Actual Results:
> 1. An error occurs, "build.xml:22: ivy:cachepath doesn't support the "keep" attribute"
