Subject Re: [DISCUSS] Graduate Apache Dubbo (incubating) as a Top Level Project
Date Sun, 28 Apr 2019 15:04:34 GMT
Hi,

I am wrapping the latest update from Dubbo community.

- The avator of dubbo[1] group has been deleted
- The description of dubbo group has been rename as Eco System For Apache Dubbo
- A new group called thubbo[2] has been created
- All projects under dubbo group are renamed in xxx-for-apache-dubbo
format in compliance with the policies
- For the 19 projects remaining in dubbo group, the Dubbo community
has contacted all the project owners, and got response from 18
projects[3]. Among them,
  * 14 projects will be transferred to ASF (13 of them will be
transferred by May 31st, 1 project will be transferred by June 30th)
  * 3 projects will be transferred outside dubbo group, with all
branding issues cleared.
  * 1 project (dubbo.github.io) will be deleted by May 31st. (redirect
dubbo.io to dubbo.apache.org via dns)
  * The remaining 1 project (intellij-idea-plugin) will be transferred
to thubbo group if no response is received.
  * The detailed status has been summarized here[4].
  * If any project failed to be transferred before ETA, it will be
transferred to thubbo group instead.

Given that all project has given ETA to be transferred to ASF/outside
dubbo, a suggestion is given that there is no need to move the
projects to thubbo group unless they are not transferred before ETA.

The Dubbo community is seeking comments from the IPMC that whether
this proposal is OK or not. Any feedback will be appreciated. Hope
this could clear the concern from IPMC.
