Permissive Apache or Copyleft. Those who want to be associated with permissive licensed code will come to Apache, those that want a copyleft license will go to TDF. Those that don't care will contribute to both or work with the community they like the best :-). Since it seems unlikely that those that feel strongly about it will be moved, the crux is whether either, both or neither code base gets sufficient support to sustain its maintenance and development. Only time will tell and only time will tell to what extent the code will diverge if both projects prove viable. So what further debate is to be had? Is it not just a matter of seeing how many committers sign up to make Apache OOo viable? --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscribe@incubator.apache.org > For additional commands, e-mail: general-help@incubator.apache.org > > -- Ian Ofqual Accredited IT Qualifications The Schools ITQ www.theINGOTs.org +44 (0)1827 305940 You have received this email from the following company: The Learning Machine Limited, Reg Office, 36 Ashby Road, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B79 8AQ.
