Good summary.

The ASF is a volunteer organization, and mostly we push down issues
such as these to the individual projects.  As I see that your name is
on the committer list, you will have an opportunity to set direction
for this project should it be accepted.

Resources that the project will have at its disposal is a Legal
Affairs Committee, which I chair, and a number of attorneys that the
ASF has on retainer.

The only thing I will add is that I strongly discourage asking
questions as to how we should handle purely hypothetical scenarios as
my experience is that such discussions are rarely productive.
