Subject RE: How to drop an event within a Decorator
Date Fri, 16 Mar 2012 06:32:53 GMT
Thanks Raji, though that begs the question, how does one redirect to NullSink from within a
decorator?

Basically I need to do this:

if (event body matches allowed regex):
    allow through
else:
redirect to NullSink (or drop some other way)

Cheers,

James

try redirecting them to NullSink. That will be the easiest method.

Hello all,

I'm using Flume OG and attempting to write a decorator to filter events based on body text.
The decorator will sit in front of the agent, so dropped events will not affect checksums
etc.

The actual filtering seems simple enough, but I can't find any mention of the correct way
to 'drop' an event from within a decorator.

Can anybody enlighten me?

Thanks,

James
