About the roles question, I thought this was why someone would move to
tomcat or some other servlet engine/app server type deploy.  I remember
reading it on the wiki/archiva site at one point but can't find it in
the 1.0.2 verison of the docs.

Ok, that's good to know about the jetty bit.  I was guessing someone
would want to move to tomcat for a high availability type server versus
the out of the box set up.

Not if you are happy with the Jetty set up.
