I would rather market this as a 1.6.0 or 1.6.1 release. (I am afraid that RC
release will not get more downloads than beta). We do not expect the release
to be 100% perfect anyway.
While any regressions compared to 1.5 are aggressively corrected, we know
that there are still issues which are opened since 1.4 or 1.5 or earlier,
such as the indexing of jars having several jars in the classpath entry of
the manifest, ...

It is even possible to release a 1.6.1 just 2 weeks after 1.6.0 or 1 month
after, depending on whether severe bugs are found, and whether they are
