Rename recursively

           Summary: Rename recursively
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: raudibert@terra.es

The problem I see is how to rename files and directories recursively that match
with a pattern.
Rename task is deprecated. I've tried to use move with mapper but when find a
file or directory, make another one with the correct name but empty (and
keeping the original).
