For different reasons, I hacked up java.exe (the windows java launcher program 
for the Windows JDK. Simple C program that comes with the source of the JDK 
from the Sun Java Community Program) to support (like javac.exe) reading 
command line options from files, using the 'java.exe @options.txt' notation 
(actually, real command line options can be mingled with @file option files). 
It's a lightweight solution, since adds almost nothing to the startup time (no 
forking of another process, or worse the startup of another VM), albeit not a 
very clean one. This is just for information to anyone who would plan to do 
something similar that it's possible. Regards, --DD
