ant1.6 is planned to have a <hostname> task that would put the local host into a
property; extending this to set a property to another host (and leave the
property set if unresolvable) would be possible, were you to supply the patches.
ping and tracert are impossible to write in pure Java, unless you know something
Sun doesnt; 'add ICMP support' to Java is stull an RFE on Java, I beleive.
