Ant can fail but still exit with 0
Summary: Ant can fail but still exit with 0
Product: Ant
Version: 1.4.1
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Minor
Priority: Other
Component: Core
AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: andrew@cadre5.com
In my specific case, when I have an invalid JAVA_HOME set, ant dies with the
following message:
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /blah/bin/java
However, the exit status of ant is still 0. My script therefore believes that
ant completed successfully, and continues on to blow up later. Since ant did
fail, it should return a non-zero exit status.
