Nice work.

While Ant certainly has many SCM implementations in its optional task list,
what about the possibility of Merant providing these tasks rather than the
Ant project?

The dilemma is that once these tasks are in Ant's codebase, its the
committers responsibility to maintain them. The more we push back to the
vendors to host and maintain their own tasks the better off Ant will
actually be (since the committers can spend their time on the engine and not
task maintenance).

I'm guilty of violating this myself recently by committing the SourceOffSite
tasks. I was able to test those first hand and use SoS on occasion

I'm +0 on committing these. I want Ant to be able to work with all the
SCM's out there, but I also want to see how vendors take the push back.
Once we get the VFS stuff off the ground we will have an API that vendors
can write to and provide hooks for their systems. At least thats the long
term vision.

Subject: [Submit] PVCS Dimensions

I haven't seen any tasks for PVCS Dimensions (Another SCM tool from
Merant) so I thought I would submit these for consideration.

The tasks are in the
package. The attached zip file includes all tasks and a manual Page.

The tasks have been tested on Win2k and Solaris 8 with PVCS Dimensions
7.0 SP2.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
