That's actually an issue where you are damned if you do and damned if you
don't.  The flip side is that Ant scripts which depend on this feature
(e.g., include *.CLASS) would not be portable.

Given that this could be argued either way, I would be inclined to keep the
current behavior as the default, with an option to override.
