It is when I launch Ant (running "which java" gives me
the path, and Ant is getting it from the path). I
can't speak for how Ant is passing that info down.

No, nor will it work if I remove that line completely.

I'm assuming it is something stupid, but the fact that
it works under 1.2.2 and not under 1.3 is puzzling.
